Love this article Gayla. We've bottled nine and a half gallons so far, almost double last year's take. One visitor last year exclaimed, "you should sell this." My wife Kim didn't miss a beat and responded, "But it's too much fun to give it away." We're boiling again on Saturday.

Hi Gayla, I enjoyed your story! With this winter storm we are getting another break in the season, not a bad thing after a series of 14-hour boiling days. We got more sap and syrup in the last six days than in the prior six weeks. The unpredictable nature of sugaring is part of the fun. It sure was fun having you here for your visits. I look forward to your future writing.
