Julie Gamewell

Hello. My sister Candace and I were recently on the Marty farm for a reunion with my grandmother's cousin Dean. We enjoyed meeting your mother and seeing the beautiful area you grew up in. We received a copy of your book Memory of Trees. I enjoyed the book so much. I felt as though I was right there experiencing what you were telling. I grew up in Washington state, but both my parents were raised on farms in Iowa, and they homesteaded land in Idaho after WWII when they received a large acreage from a drawing for veterans. After they proved up the land they leased it and moved to a smaller farm. The trees are also significant to me since the man I married had a tree farm. It's been in his family since 1953, and now our son manages the timber. I found this site on the book mark inside your book.
